O Beautiful Mother
The presence of the Blessed Mother was felt strongly this weekend at the wedding of Carolyn's daughter Erin. When two young flower girls carried the sign "Love Spoken Here" and placed it in front of the ambo at the beginning of the ceremony, we knew Mother Mary and our mom were there with us.
A metal plaque with the words "Love Spoken Here for over 40 years" has hung at the front door of our family home for years. Growing up, whenever my siblings and I would get into a fight, our mom would say "No fighting, only love spoken here!" It's in the difficulty and messiness of life when these words have power.
